Most people believe that if you want to do something in life, you should do it while you’re in your 20s. Truth be told, these people are usually right, since there’s no denying that we have the most energy and will to do something in between the ages of 20 and 30. However, this doesn’t mean that we should limit ourselves to doing our job, raising our kids and trying to meet people online once we pass a certain age.

Considering how high the average life expectancy has become in the last few decades, it’s only logical that upon reaching the age of 35 we’re not even halfway done with our life. That’s why we’ve decided to put down a list of things you can do in order to enrich your life if you’re older than 35.

1. A Time for Travelling

Unless you’re a kind of person who doesn’t like to wander past their own street block, you most likely have a travel destination or two that you’ve always wanted to visit but never got around to it due to school, work, financial or other reasons.
Luckily for you, your 30s are exactly when you should be thinking about such endeavors. Take a two or three-week vacation from work, buy an airplane ticket and go to that wonderful spot you’ve always dreamt of visiting. This will make you feel like you can accomplish more goals in life despite being over the prime age for doing so.

2. Don’t Let your Sex Life Die

One of the most important aspects of life (right after health and family) is sex. People tend to forget this and by doing so, they let their bed get cold regarding love-making, which in turn leads them to start feeling old much sooner than they’re supposed to.
The solution for this is really simple, actually – maintain a healthy sex life. Whether you’re happily married or single and ready to mingle, make sure that you bring new and exciting things into the bedroom to maintain that feeling of “being at the top of your game.”

3. Treat Yourself to Something Nice

Much like you couldn’t go to certain places before, your 30s are the perfect period for you to treat yourself to material things you could only dream of affording while you were younger.
Don’t get us wrong – giving great value to material objects is definitely unhealthy and we’re not promoting the idea of letting money and other objects be your source of happiness. However, if you’ve always wanted a Discman but you couldn’t afford it when you were a teenager, perhaps it would be a good idea to buy one for yourself so that you can feel like there are still more things on your checklist that you can do.

All in all, it all comes down to avoiding any sort of routine and stagnation. Being 35 or older doesn’t necessarily mean that your life is over or that you can’t possibly do anything you haven’t already done – just stay on your toes and you’ll always feel as young and as capable as ever.
